Drunk driver who killed runner pleads guilty Gregory Doan, age 58, pled guilty to vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run, and multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a traffic fatality collision. The incident occurred on August 30th, 2008, on Las Positas near the intersection of Richelle Lane.
Santa Barbara woman allegedly throws baby away On Wednesday morning (3/3/10), a baby girl was discovered in a trash bin in Redondo Beach. According to First 5 SB County, and the SB County District Attorney, two days later, Santa Barbara resident, Jessie Lauren Canfield was arrested on suspicion of murder. According to a press release Canfield confirmed that she gave birth to the baby while attending a party in Redondo Beach and had put the baby in the garbage bin.
